The Parajet Academy paramotoring courses take you from being a complete beginner to a competent, safe and independent paramotor pilot.

Our beginner paramotor training courses operate during the summer months in Wiltshire, UK. The beautiful rolling countryside is an ideal location to learn to fly a paramotor with some of the best flying conditions at that time of the year.

Unlike other schools, all our beginner paramotor courses are residential so you’re never more than a few minutes walk from the training field. This ensures your training benefits from the best parts of the day and that we maximise your time in the air.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Beginner paramotor course is available as a 10-day block and runs from Saturday to Monday inclusive. Training follows the BHPA Club Pilot syllabus which consists of key field-based practical activities and instruction and normally culminates in double-digit solo flights. There will also be indoor theory based sessions and a final exam.

Days 1 to 3

Introduction to the course, your equipment and flight.

Learning to launch and control the glider and non-powered flights

Introduction to paramotoring, Parajet paramotors and safety equipment

Days 4 to 5

Practice PPG launches and landings.

Your first solo paramotor flight

Circuit flying, practicing and developing launch and landing techniques

Days 6 to 8

PPG flying and technical improvements. Navigation flights using GPS

Coordinated turns, Spot landings, Engine failure practice, Alternative controls

BHPA Club Pilot skills review, examination and accreditation

Days 8 to 10

Accumulation of PPG flight hours

Introduction to free flight
